From my QT today , the Lord reminded me through the Holy spirit about His prompting. The texts say - Never disregard a conviction that the Holy Spirit brings to you. If it is important enough for the Holy Spirit of God to bring it to your mind, It is the very thing He is detecting in you.
I thank the Lord that we have the Holy Spirit to prompt us when we go astray, to bring us back to the right path. there were many times I choose to ignore, but through today's QT, I want to make it a point to be sensitive to the Holy spirit's prompting and pray that I can respond to the prompting in rightouesness and in faith.
(Matthew 5:23-24) “If therefore you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. May the Lord fill my mind with His word and my heart with His conviction to do what pleases Him and not myself, and grant me the strength to obey.

Hey, I am back! It was a "HOT" experience there. The weather was hot and the food was hot too. I hope that December will be cooler. The Lord through this trip have taught me a few things. I was not as willing as I thought I am. Due to the hot weather, there are things I just find it hard to endure. One day, after the ministry in Nonghan's church, Rosanna suggested that we go visitation on an hot afternoon, I thought ok, just a visitation then we head back home, and I can take a shower! But it turned out we are visiting 3 homes! I confess that I was not very keen in my heart and wantd to get it done and over with! But the Lord taught me precious lesson I can learn through the people we visited.
They were poor but not lazy, and they give thanks to God for what they have and don't have. What the Lord had showed me is the way they ask for prayer. Before we end every visitation ROsanna will ask for prayer request and we then prayed for them before we go. Their requests were so different from us. They ask for strength and good health so that they can work for a living. So simple and so right! They don't pray for an easy way out, they don't pray for God to do magic or send miracle, they pray that God can give they ability to do what is needed and be blessed by the granting.
I learnt how sometime we take prayers for granted, thinking that prayers can do magic, or asking God to grant us an easy way out, taking away our pain, asking for a more comforatable encounters, so that we don't have to suffer. I need to relook at my prayers as the Lord had taught me through these people I visited. I pray the same for you, that you will take a good look at your prayers and from now on let's pray prayers that pleases the Lord, and prayers that show biblicial perspective.
Thank God for teaching me.
