Yesterday was the 2nd mid week Lent service, living in such fast moving world like Singapore, to slow down and remember or to reflect is very much needed for people who seriously wanted to grow in their relationship with God. Someone ever said to me, the thing that preoccupied your mind is the thing that you live for. I shared this to my Sunday school group last week, should they call themselves CHRISTIAN students or STUDENT Christian? Which come first? Are they first a CHRISTIAN or a STUDENT? Sometime we are so caught up with LIFE, that we forgotten the one who gave it to us for a purpose, are we living it accordingly, or we have replaced His with ours? If we have, then we probably have taken Christ death for granted. Think about it, Christ lived his whole life for only 1 agenda, and that's is to walk to the cross for our sake, what have we done for him? Not that he needed us to, but are we really grateful?
We sang this last night and it really caused me to reflect and think about His love.
King of my life, I crown Thee now, Thine shall the glory be; Lest I forget Thy thorn crowned brow, Lead me to Calvary. Lest I forget Gethsemane; Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary.
Show me the tomb where Thou was laid, Tenderly mourned and wept; Angels in robes of light arrayed Guarded Thee while Thou slept. Lest I forget Gethsemane; Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary.
Let me like Mary, through the gloom, Come with a gift to Thee; Show to me now the empty tomb, Lead me to Calvary. Lest I forget Gethsemane; Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary.
May I be willing, Lord to bear Daily my cross for Thee; Even Thy cup of grief to share, Thou hast borne all for me. Lest I forget Gethsemane; Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary.
Lord I want to use my life as an offering to you for you have given yours to me, and to find joy in living it because I know that your plans for me is to give me hope and a future. My Lord, help me to keep my eyes on the cross always, so that I will not forget your kindness and love.
